4 cups cubed watermelon
2 tablespoon granulated sugar
3 limes, 2 juiced and 1 cut into wedges for garnish
8 ounces tequila
5 ounces triple sec, divided
3 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon chili powder


Puree the watermelon and sugar in a blender until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine- mesh sieve or cheesecloth.

Transfer the puree liquid to a pitcher and add the lime juice, tequila, and 4 ounces of the triple sec. Stir to combine.

Thoroughly mix the salt with the chili powder in a shallow dish. Put the remaining ounce of triple sec in a separate, smaller saucer.

Dip the rim of each margarita glass into the triple sec, then press it into the salt-and-chili mixture, twisting the glass slightly.

Divide the margarita between the 4 glasses, and garnish each with a lime wedge.
