5-7 Lemon Drop candies
1 lemon wedge
2 ounces vodka
2 ounces Limoncello
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
Splash of simple syrup
4 teaspoons pasteurized egg white, or about ½ fresh egg white
Lemon peel, for garnish
Place the Lemon Drop candies in a resealable bag and crush them with a rolling pin until they are the consistency of coarse sugar. Pour the crushed candies into a shallow saucer.
Wipe the rim of a chilled martini glass with a lemon wedge. Press the rim into the crushed candies, lightly twisting to coat the rim all the way around
Combine all the remaining ingredients except for the lemon peel in a cocktail shaker filled with three-quarters full of ice. Shake for 5 to 10 seconds.
Pour into the martini glass. Garnish with a lemon peel dropped into the drink and serve.
